Government of Punjab Board of Revenue has decided to recruit 38,000 chowkidar in all the districts of Punjab.
Each chowkidar will be allotted two acres of government land and in villages where land is not available, the chowkidar will be given a share in the tax and the statement.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of senior member Board of Revenue Babar Hayat in which approval will be given to recruit 38,000 chowkidar in villages across Punjab.
The chowkidar will inform the numerdar person about all the activities from morning to evening
The chowkidar will note all the problems of the village and the numbered person will inform the concerned authorities to solve these problems.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Babar Hayat has said that numberdar and chowkidar system will be restored in Punjab in next few months.
The procedure for recruitment of janitors will be finalized at the next meeting
