The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports has announced a shocking hike in passport fees. DG Immigration and Passports has increased the fees for normal passports and urgent passports. Passport fees have been increased by 50%.
The increase in passport fees will be applicable from March 7, 2024. If you want to apply urgent Passport or want to apply normal Passport now you have to pay new passport fee.
Those who have applied for a passport and paid the passport fee before March 7, 2024 will have their passports issued on top of the old fee. If you apply for a passport after March 7, 2024, you will have to pay the new passport fee.
5 Year And 10 Year New Passport Fee Schedule 2024
5 Year Passport Fee Schedule
If you apply for a 36-page normal passport for five years, the fee is Rs 4500.
If you apply for a 36-page passport urgently, the fee is Rs 7500.
If you apply for a 72-page normal passport for five years, the fee is 8200 rupees.
If you will apply for urgent passport with 72 pages, then the fee has become 13500 rupees.
If you apply for a 100-page normal passport for five years, the fee is 9000 rupees.
If you apply for a 100-page passport urgently, the fee is Rs. 18,000.
10 Year Passport Fee Schedule
If you apply for a normal passport with 36 pages for 10 years, the fee is 6700 rupees.
If you will apply urgent passport with 36 pages, then the fee has been 11200 rupees.
If you apply for a normal passport with 72 pages for 10 years, the fee is 12400 rupees.
If you apply for a 72-page passport urgently, then the fee is Rs. 20,200.
If you apply for a normal passport with 100 pages for 10 years, the fee is 13500 rupees.
If you apply for a 100-page passport urgently, then the fee is Rs. 27,000.
