The main strength of the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) economy is largely dependent on nuts and agriculture. More than 15 national and international lacquerware tourists visit Gilgit-Baltistan every year.
Considering this scenario and to bring Agriculture and Tourism together in such a way that local farmers could get the maximum benefit from their agricultural products, ZTBL has played its role of providing loans for the “Establishment of Agri. Tourist Outlet / Orchard ”where tourists can visit, stay, enjoy and buy agricultural products. Produce from the farmer in a real-time environment, thus eliminating the role of intermediaries.
Establishment of Agri.Tourist Outlet/ Orchard Eligibility Criteria
All residents of Gilgit-Baltistan who have an existing garden and intend to establish agriculture. They are eligible to apply for a shop / orchard or desire to add value to their existing orchard to increase their farm income. The individual must be within the 18 to 60 age limit. Applicants must have a clear e-CIB report and an ORR score of up to 4.

Establishment of Agri.Tourist Maximum Loan Limit
Under the scheme the maximum loan ceiling would be upto Rs.1.500 million per borrower.
Establishment of Agri.Tourist Outlet/ Orchard Borrower’s Contribution
The amount above the Bank’s maximum per borrower / share exposure of Rs. 1.5 billion or 10% of the project cost if the project cost is less than Rs. 1,500 million will be invested by the borrower in the project as equity
